An internationally renowned portrait and fashion photographer, Barbara Bordnick began her career in Copenhagen and Paris before returning to New York, where her photography for Harper’s Bazaar began drawing acclaim.

Over the past 27 years her film and print work has received numerous Clios, Art Directors’ Club Awards, the Missouri School of Journalism Award, and a Polaroid Corporation commission to document America’s “Great Women of Jazz.”

Her work is in the permanent collections of the International Center of Photography, the Gilman Paper Collection in New York, and the Polaroid Collection in Massachusetts. She recently served three terms as the president of the Advertising Photographers of New York and was the first woman president of the American Society of Magazine Photographers in 1977-78.

Barbara has been featured in nationally known publications, newspapers, and television programs including The New York Times Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Lear’s, Life, The New York Times Fashions of the Times, Geo, Time, Newsweek, Forbes, Fortune, Vogue Français, Vanity Fair, The Washington Times Magazine, Communication Arts, Graphics, NBC News, ABC “Good Morning America,” and the PBS “American Masters” series on Richard Avedon.

Her photographs appear in annual reports and advertising campaigns for Fortune 500 companies.
